The Stag and the Vixen

 The Stag and the Vixen

In quiet woods where lanterns glow,
And whispered winds through twilight flow,
A stag walks proud with lifted head,
Where trust and wild desire are wed.

Beside him moves the vixen fair,
With knowing eyes and russet hair,
Her laughter light, her spirit free,
A dance of choice and harmony.

No chains of doubt between them lie,
Their bond is clear beneath the sky;
For love, when rooted deep in trust,
Outgrows the bounds of fear and must.

The stag stands tall, both fierce and kind,
A keeper not of cage but mind;
His pride is not in holding tight,
But sharing warmth within the night.

The vixen roams where hearts may meet,
With playful steps and silent feet;
Yet every path she wanders through
Returns her home where love is true.

And those who watch may never know
The strength that makes their garden grow
For freedom, trust, and open art
Are secrets of the wildest heart.

So in the woods where moonbeams play,
The stag and vixen find their way,
A life not bound by jealous claim,
But brightened by a fearless flame.
